User Involvement

User Involvement

Involving the users in all major design activities, i.e., observing the principles and good practices of user-centered design is a crucial aspect of RENEW.

code leader title user involvement start end
T2.1 WUT Platform architecture (users involved) A user-centred design will involve all 3 categories of end-users through questionnaires and focus groups (10-15 per country). 2 4
T2.2 WUT Development of platform components (users involved) Scenarios and mockups will be presented to 10-15 users/country to guide the design. 4 18
T2.4 LS2N Platform tuning, optimization and validation Based on pilot data. The optimized version of the platform Pv2 (M32) will be validated M33-M35 with 2 users per country. It will deliver the final platform and DTs. 21 35
T4.1 INRCA Understanding and identifying end-users' challenges and needs We will engage 20 primary users (hypertensive, caregivers and healthcare providers) per piloting site. The user’s feedback will guide the platform development which has started after the initial design feedback in T2.1 and T2.2. 10 14
T4.2 INRCA End-user classification, selection and recruitment The goal is to recruit 20 patients (60+) per country plus 10% to account for dropouts. Patients will be recruited with an informal caregiver. 14 20
T4.3 INRCA Pilot implementation 20 patients per country will be involved with at least an informal caregiver and supported through the RENEW platform by healthcare professionals from JUMC, IZRIIS, and INRCA (e.g., cardiologists, geriatricians, generalists), i.e., at least 126 users. Min 30% of hypertensive patients with at least one additional risk factor (e.g., diabetes, obesity). Users will be involved for 6 months each and will follow a protocol established at the beginning of the pilots. INRCA will lead, and all partners will contribute. 20 32
T4.4 JUMC User feedback and exit strategy Questionnaires and established methodologies for eliciting end-users’ feedback will be designed, selected, and applied in order to gauge the impact of the pilots on the users. An exit strategy, including the users’ debriefing, will be designed. 16 34
